TopWorks proudly offers butcher block countertops and stainless steel hanging pot racks that are manufactured by John Boos and Co. First established as a blacksmith shop in 1887 by Conrad Boos Sr. the firm initially used wooden blocks cut from sycamore trees to absorb the shock from the hammer when straightening horseshoes. When a butcher saw the block in use he realized it would be just as useful to him. Boos complied. By 1940 they'd found their way to restaurants, food stores and butcher shops all across America.

In 1955 the company expanded and began manufacturing laminated strips of northern hard rock maple and Appalachian red oak. Further expansion saw a line of stainless steel products and tables with poly or synthetic tops. John Boos metal and wood products are listed with the National Sanitation Foundation, the leader among agencies approving equipment for installation in food service and supermarket industries. With their products John Boos and Co. continue to set high standards for excellence, excellence which TopWorks is proud to offer.
